Labor Day, to give a historical context, dates back to May 1, 1886, when a workers' strike began in Chicago with the aim of improving working conditions and reducing the daily working day, which reached more than 15 hours. Today we continue to celebrate the date as a tribute to the workers' struggles that allowed us to obtain a series of labor rights that are now provided for by law.

If in the period following the first industrial revolution, with the beginning of large-scale production, it was necessary to fight for workers' rights, now almost 140 years later and with the dawn of the fourth industrial revolution the challenges are different.

The concept of the fourth industrial revolution was introduced in 2016 by Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, who suggested that "We are on the brink of a technological revolution that will change the way we live, work and relate to each other. On a scale of scope and complexity , the transformation will be unlike anything humankind has ever experienced before.”

In fact, the changes we have felt in recent years make us feel that something is about to change. The speed of the days, the potential reach and impact of our actions and interactions, the advent of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and the interconnection of the physical and digital world known as the Internet of Things make us feel that we are in the middle of the making of history.

Any revolution implies advantages and disadvantages, challenges and opportunities, certainties and uncertainties. We still need to understand what our struggles will be when the dust of the fourth industrial revolution begins to settle.

From a more internal point of view, I can say that we live these new challenges with great balance and with the awareness that we are part of the change. We use all the tools that new technologies provide us, but without ever forgetting to add our human touch to our daily lives. And if there is an important and inseparable human behavior from our team, it is laughter! Never forget that laughing can only make things better. Some of the benefits of laughter that we can see include reducing stress, stimulating creativity, physical and mental relaxation, and creating bonds between people.

We don't know what the challenges of the future will be, but we know that we are ready to face them with a big smile on our faces :)
